PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PEMBINAAN AKHLAK SISWA MELALUI PEMBIASAAN SHALAT DHUHA

Abstract

The changing times have changed a person's lifestyle, especially among teenagers, because
teenagers are very active in utilizing the technology offered in the current era of globalization. The
lives of teenagers today are so diverse, of course, they need attention. One of the problems faced today
is the decline in etiquette in social life and adolescent ethics in the practice of life both at school, at
home, and in the community. As we have encountered many cases of norm deviation and negative
behavior. Moral development is the main solution and is very important in an effort to prevent the
negative effects of the times. So from the problems above, it is necessary to have a role for Islamic
religious education teachers in improving the morals of students, so that students have morals in
accordance with Islamic teachings, with the aim of preventing deviant behavior from occurring both
at school, family, and where they live. .
This study aims to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering
student morals at SMPN 1 Tanjungsiang, the methods used by Islamic religious education teachers
in fostering student morals, the impact of habituation of dhuha prayer on students' moral
development, the obstacles of Islamic religious education teachers in implementing the dhuha prayer,
and how Islamic religious education teachers overcome obstacles in implementing the dhuha prayer.
This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects were teachers and students of
SMPN 1 Tanjungsiang. Methods of data collection using observation techniques, interviews, and
documentation. The technique of guaranteeing the validity of the data is analyzed, then the data is
analyzed and conclusions are drawn.
The results of the study can be concluded that: 1. The role of Islamic religious education
teachers in fostering students' morals has played a good role, 2. the activities held in schools apply
the method of habituation, exemplary, giving advice, namely: a) Providing guidance to students; b)
Attending congregational prayers; c) Religious extracurricular activities; d) get used to praying
dhuha in congregation; 3. The impact of habituation of dhuha prayer for students, teachers and
schools is very much, 4. Obstacles of Islamic religious education teachers in the implementation of
dhuha prayer, including: a. The first obstacle is that there are children who are late during the Dzuha
prayer, obstacles from the family environment and also the social environment, Constraints on time
to perform ablution, In practice, habituation of discipline for example when praying there are still
many students who are not serious, Lack of enthusiasm in praying Dzuha; 5. The method of Islamic
religious education teachers in overcoming the obstacles of dhuha prayer to students through
religious activities and providing advice and giving sanctions to students so that they are motivated
to carry out dhuha prayers.
