PENERAPAN PERKEMBANGAN EMOSIONAL SISWA DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI
Abstract
Emotional development is self-knowledge, self-awareness, social sensitivity, empathy and the
ability to communicate well with others. Increasing emotional intelligence is very necessary, because
with increasing emotional intelligence, students can have sensitivity in managing feelings and then
become a framework for behaving, socializing and making the right decisions. However, to improve the
emotional intelligence of students at MTS Al-Hajat Tanjungwangi, a strategy for Islamic Religious
Education teachers is needed. The research question in this thesis is how the types of emotional
development of students and how to apply the emotional development of students at MTS Al-Hajar. This
research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation,
interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The
results showed that the supporting program used by PAI teachers in the teaching and learning process
was the Akhlakul Karimah or Emotional Development program. The impact of the program that has
been implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing emotional intelligence is that
students are more able to control themselves or their emotions, respect each other, have a high sense of
empathy, the class is more active, effective, and fun. The conclusion is that the program used by Islamic
Religious Education teachers in improving the emotional intelligence of MTS Al-Hajar Tanjungwangi
students is very good.
