KONSEP LITERASI DALAM NILAI-NILAI YANG TERKANDUNG PADA QUR’AN SURAT AL-‘ALAQ AYAT1-5

Abstract

Literacy is a habit of reading and writing in order to be able to communicate with the
natural surroundings and with science. Because reading and writing is not just reading and writing
that is written, but has a very broad understanding. Reading can be just reading what is written or
reading the universe to be used as knowledge as well as writing is not limited to what must be
written as a form of reality from what we read and applied in written form so that it is easy to
understand and digest its meaning.
Based on the explanation above, the researcher is interested in studying more deeply about
the Concept of Literacy in the Values Contained in the Qur'an Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5. 1-5, to
find out the values contained in it, to find out the inspiration and motivation of the Qur'an towards
the tradition of reading and writing (literacy), to find out the urgency of literacy from the perspective
of the Qur'an Surah al-'Alaq verses 1-5 and to know the wisdom of studying the concept of literacy
in the Qur'an surah al-'Alaq verses 1-5.
This study uses a qualitative research type, where researchers take various sources with the
documentation method with a case study research design, the main data sources in this research are
words, analysis, and documentation studies. The analysis is carried out by examining all data,
comparing one data with other data, compiling it and then drawing conclusions. The last technique
is re-checking all the data that has been examined.
Based on this study, five findings were found including: First; The concept of literacy in the
Qur'an Surah al-'Alaq verses 1-5 which contains the concept of reading and writing which is
explained in the words iqra' and qalam, second; The values contained in the Qur'an Surah al-'Alaq
verses 1-5 include the value of skills, namely reading, writing and biology (human creation), the
value of monotheism, which is about everything that must be accompanied by faith in Allah,
including reading and seeking. science, Third; The inspiration of the Qur'an on the literacy tradition
contained in the command to read and write the command to seek knowledge and languages that are
identical to literacy, Fourth; The Urgency of Literacy Perspective of the Qur'an Surah al-'Alaq
verses 1-5 the discussion includes perpetuating the knowledge taught by Allah SWT through
motivation to write, eradicating ignorance and deepening understanding, Fifth; The wisdom of
learning the concept of literacy in the Qur'an Surah al-'Alaq verses 1-5, namely Always mentioning
the name of Allah SWT, getting used to always reading and writing and Realizing that reading and
writing are very important in life.
