KEPEMIMPINAN SEKOLAH BERBASIS PESANTREN DAN PROFIL MANAGER PENDIDIKAN ISLAM
Abstract
This study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of boarding school-based school
leadership and the profile of the manager of Islamic education which is deemed necessary in order to manage
a progressive education. This type of research is descriptive-analysis with the method used is qualitative.
The data was collected using library research techniques. The results of this study indicate that boarding
school-based school leadership can be applied with a transformational leadership model and a spiritual
leadership model. Both of these leadership models are based on a paradigm that in managing education, it
must be based on religious values by prioritizing aspects of moral leadership cultivation. This can then be
seen in detail from the profile of the manager of Islamic education offered based on religious ethics through
four main foundations for educational development, namely: truth, honesty, openness, and expertise. This
theoretically will have implications in the context of realizing advanced educational institutions.
