Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact that occurs as a result
of the use of gadgets for teenagers in behavior in Dusun Pasirmenyan Desa Sukamandi.
Based on the problem, (1) how to use gadgets among teenagers in Pasirmenyan Hamlet,
Sukamandi Village (2) How is the behavior of teenagers in using gadgets in the village?
Pasirmenyan Sukamandi Village (3) what are the factors that encourage? teenagers in
using gadgets in Pasirmenyan Hamlet, Sukamandi Village (4) How is the impact of using
gadgets for teenagers in behavior in the hamlet? Pasirmenyan Sukamandi Village (5) how
to anticipate negative impacts the use of gadgets for teenagers in behavior in Dusun
Pasirmenyan Desa Sukamandi. The method used in this research is by using descriptive
qualitative method. Information selection is done by purposive sampling technique, the
technique of collecting data is based on results of interviews, observations and
documentation. The research results obtained are (1) the use of gadgets among teenagers
in Dusun Pasirmenyan Desa Sukamandi is mostly used for communication tools, games
online, playing social media and online business (2) the state of behavior of adolescents in
Dusun Pasirmenyan Sukamandi Village is inseparable from gadgets so that many
teenagers often gather at the stall (hang out) to playing gadgets (3) Factors that encourage
teenagers to use gadgets in Dusun Pasirmenyan Sukamandi Village are environmental
factors/peers, individual factors, family factors, school factors (4) the impact of using
gadgets on adolescents in behavior in Pasirmenyan Hamlet, Sukamandi Village, there are:
positive impacts include facilitating communication, adding insight, adding friends and
negative use of gadgets include lying to parents, neglect of Islamic religious obligations,
lack of ethics, health problems mentally (5) anticipating the negative impact of using
gadgets on adolescent behavior is found from parents, among others, providing
understanding, , guidance, to adolescents and from individuals among them can manage time in use of gadgets and divert to other activitie.
